This role is responsible for working across multiple client engagements — translating business objectives into defined KPIs, building the semantic models and reporting infrastructure to track them, and ensuring clients have clear visibility into progress against their goals. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and the Lunar Point team to identify and define KPIs aligned to business goals, then build the reporting infrastructure to measure and track progress toward them
• Design and develop semantic models, dashboards, and reports using Power BI within Microsoft Fabric workspaces
• Write optimized DAX measures, KQL queries, and SQL to support self-serve analytics across client environments
• Build and maintain Dataflows Gen2 and Lakehouse-connected datasets within the OneLake architecture
• Participate in workspace deployment pipeline promotions (Dev to UAT to Prod) and validate report integrity across environments
• Conduct data quality checks and validation during pipeline handoffs from the engineering team
• Maintain clear documentation of models, data definitions, and report logic for client handover and ongoing maintenance

Requirements:

• Microsoft Certified: DP-600, DP-700, or PL-300
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a data analyst or BI analyst role
• Strong proficiency in DAX, SQL, and Power Query (M)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric — Lakehouse, Warehouse, Power BI, and OneLake
• Demonstrated ability to identify KPIs and define a measurable path to business goals
• Understanding of workspace deployment pipelines and environment promotion in Fabric
• Experience with row-level security and permission management in Power BI and Fabric
• Professional communication skills suitable for client-facing meetings
• Version control experience with GitHub or Azure DevOps (branching strategies, PR workflows, YAML pipelines)
• US citizen; no visa sponsorship available

Nice to have:

• Master's degree in a related field
• Familiarity with real-time analytics using Eventstream or KQL databases in Fabric
• Exposure to Microsoft Purview for data governance and lineage tracking
• Python or R for supplemental data analysis
